I know it’s not Fall yet.
First day of school. Here we are in mid-August and school just started (today). I put my children on the bus this morning and I already miss them. It’s official! No more elementary school babies, I have two middle-schoolers in the house. ***Say a little prayer for me here (to whomever you pray) for serenity. Thanksss.*** 🤪
Oddly, the end of summer isn’t all bad for me or for my kids. We’ve had Halloween on our brains for a couple of weeks now! And I’m not sorry. Falloweenksgiving is my favorite time of year!! What is falloweenskgiving? It is exactly what it sounds like… It’s the word I use to describe that time of year that includes fall, halloween, and thanksgiving. I’m so into this season that I made a tee shirt. And I wear it all year long. Yes. I. do.
Even though I live in Texas and it’s hot as Hades outside, I still feel that fall is upon us. Yes, fall, autumn, sweater weather…. Hahahaha!! Just kidding, not sweater weather. That’s a bit much for Texas right now. Maybe on December 1st we’ll be closer to sweater weather. Aaaanyway, Halloween decorations are everywhere already. The merchants are peddling their Halloween wares and I’m here for it! My kids and I are super excited about it!! ***At least I think my kids are also excited about it. Middle schoolers change their minds very quickly. You just never know. 😳 ***
New repeat patterns!! So, in this spirit (of Halloween), I have created six new repeat patterns! I had SO. MUCH. FUN. creating these. They are cute if I do say so myself. They are reminiscent of the images I remember from my own childhood. Candies, haunted houses, witches (who loves the movie Hocus Pocus?? I DO!!), ghosts, pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns and black cats! Yesssss. Now take a looksee!!
I’ve uploaded these to my Spoonflower shop. So they are available for fabric and wallpaper (and some home decor like pillows, curtains and duvet covers). These Halloween fabrics would all make really cute tote bags for trick-or-treating! Just saying!!
